It started with an idea

Wouldn't it be cool if we could develop our own flavour of Gin and, if we could, what would we want it to taste of?

The flavour profile

After much discussion (and plenty of research) we were inspired by the beautiful Hampshire countryside and have worked with the award winning Hawkridge Distillers to produce a unique gin which reflects the essence of Impact.

Our artisanal gin began life as an award winning London Dry, creatively
infused with some of Hampshire's finest botanicals; the peppery floral notes of gorse and rose produce a refreshing and sophisticated taste of summer from this beautiful part of the country.

The bottle

Naturally, we wanted the bottle, label and packaging to both reflect the creativity, production skills and attention to detail we pride ourselves on whilst also pushing the boundaries of our technical capabilities.

Once the bottle shape had been chosen the label design process began.
Being keen for the final product to be a true team collaboration we started by brainstorming names and produced a series of mood boards before settling on the name 'ImaGINation'. The label also needed to reflect the flavour of the gin without being too corporate and heavily branded. The finished design showcases several printing techniques, combining the use of white ink along side multiple layers of CMYK inks on to clear material and required several rounds of testing to perfect and ensure a level of detail and vibrancy of colour.

The outer packaging, again designed and produced entirely in-house, takes the summer meadow of the bottle, adds a sprinkle of Christmas and makes use of the new FLX option on our Canon Colorado presses to combine both matt and gloss ink on one print. These prints were then mounted to fluted board, cut and creased on our Kongsberg cutting machine and hand assembled for the perfect finish.
